Measuring Quality and Outcomes
Venture People uses outcome-focused tools to help measure progress, evidence the impact of support and keep each person at the centre of their recovery or reablement journey.
The Outcome Star is used across our services to help people identify their goals, reflect on their current situation and measure progress in key areas of their lives, including health, housing, independence, relationships and meaningful activities.
It supports our person-centred, holistic and outcomes-focused approach by helping each person and their support team tailor support plans around individual aspirations and needs.
The Outcome Star also helps us track distance travelled over time, recognise achievements and identify next steps.
ReQoL
We also use ReQoL to measure and improve quality of life for people with mental health conditions.
ReQoL focuses on wellbeing, meaningful activities, personal relationships, community engagement, empowerment and independence.
Using ReQoL helps us keep services recovery-focused and evidence measurable improvements in the lives of the people we support.
NICE Standards
We align with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) standards, which provide evidence-based guidelines to improve health and well-being. These standards inform our approaches to mental health, learning disabilities, and complex needs, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate support that is grounded in clinical best practice.
REACH Standards
The REACH Standards guide our approach to supported living services. They focus on delivering support that promotes choice, independence and inclusion for individuals with disabilities. By adhering to REACH, we ensure that our services empower people to live as independently as possible, with rights equal to those of anyone else.
The Real Tenancy Test
We use the Real Tenancy Test as a benchmark to ensure the people we support have genuine rights and responsibilities as tenants. This test ensures that individuals have the opportunity to:
- Hold a legally recognised tenancy agreement.
- Exercise control over their living environment.
- Make decisions about their home, including who they live with and how it is managed.
This approach safeguards the independence, dignity, and autonomy of each individual in supported accommodation.
Quality Assurance
Following the launch of our new Quality Assurance Framework mid-2024, Venture People continue to be committed to delivering high-quality services. To us, high-quality is the ability to deliver the right support, at the right time, by the right person to achieve the best outcomes for the person we support. Our new Quality Assurance Framework is led by our Quality Team and is benchmarked against national best practice standards including NICE standards and CQC.
Our quality approach is not only based on standards and compliance. It is also shaped by the outcomes people achieve through support, including improved wellbeing, greater independence, stronger daily living skills, increased community connection, sustained tenancies and reduced reliance on statutory services.
Our quality approach is shaped by recognised standards, best-practice frameworks and the outcomes achieved by the people we support.
This includes improved wellbeing, increased access to the local community, stronger daily living skills, greater independence, sustained tenancies, improved social networks and reduced reliance on statutory services.
Measuring Quality and Outcomes
Alongside recognised standards and best-practice frameworks, Venture People uses outcome-focused tools to help measure progress and evidence the impact of support.
The Outcome Star is used across our services to help people identify their goals, reflect on their current situation and measure progress in key areas of their lives, including health, housing, independence, relationships and meaningful activity.
It supports a person-centred and holistic approach by helping each individual and their support team:
- tailor support plans around personal aspirations and needs
- focus one-to-one support on wellbeing, health, daily living skills, housing and meaningful activity
- track distance travelled over time
- recognise achievements and agree next steps
We also use ReQoL to measure and improve quality of life for people with mental health conditions. ReQoL focuses on wellbeing, meaningful activity, relationships, community engagement, empowerment and independence.
Together, these tools support recovery-focused practice and help evidence measurable improvements in the lives of the people we support.
Feedback and Continuous Improvement
Venture People is committed to listening to the people we support and using feedback to shape and improve our services.
Through regular feedback channels and our “You Said, We Did” process, we make sure feedback is reviewed and actioned as part of our continuous improvement approach.
This helps us respond to changing needs, maintain high standards of support and keep the voices of the people we support at the centre of service development.
