About Lucy

Dr Lucy Brierley is a Chartered Psychologist with extensive experience working with adults with complex and diverse needs. She is trained in diagnostic assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), including the use of ADOS-2 and diagnostic tools suitable for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Lucy’s approach:

“I meet many people who feel they have to ‘mask’ in front of others — something that can be incredibly exhausting. My focus is always to create a safe, adaptive, person-centred environment where people can be fully themselves. I use flexible communication styles to build rapport quickly, particularly when assessing someone I haven’t met before. Every person is unique, and my assessments reflect that.”

Based in Brighton and working closely with the NHS and Local Authorities, Lucy is committed to providing timely, accessible assessments, especially in the context of long national waiting lists. Please contact Lucy at: lucy.brierley@venturepeople.com
