Venture People is proud to offer a range of specialist, innovative accommodation services designed to support recovery, reablement and person-centered care for individuals with diverse needs, including mental health challenges, learning disabilities, neurodiversity and associated complex needs.

Operating since 2016 we now provide supported accommodation to over fifty individuals across Brighton, Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex, continuously evolving to meet the changing needs of people we support.

Our approach is both psychologically and trauma-informed, ensuring compassionate, tailored support.

By working closely with our community-based services, we create a seamless pathway toward greater independence.

Osmington House (Brighton and Hove)

Overview: A 24-hour supported accommodation service offering step down supported accommodation in the form of eight self-contained placements for adults (18 years and over) with mental health needs, learning disabilities, neurodiversity and additional needs.

Support: Each person has an assured shorthold tenancy with Housing Management provided by Grace Eyre. 

Core 24/7 support (including sleep in) is provided daily with personalised 1:1 hours (informed by assessment) delivered by the Venture People Outreach Team, offering a consistent pathway of support for people on their journey through our service. Support focuses on reablement and recovery support for people to maximise their independence. 

Features: The building has a communal garden, laundry and meeting space on site.

Location: Benefits from being in the central location of the ‘Seven Dials’ area of Brighton, within close proximity to all community amenities and excellent public transport links.

Henley House (West Sussex)

Overview: A 24 hour supported accommodation service offering eight self contained placement for adults (18 years and above) with a primary diagnosis of autism or mental health.

Support: Each person has an assured shorthold tenancy with enhanced Housing Management provided by Grace Eyre. 

Core 24/7 support (including waking night) with additional 1:1 hours informed by assessment and needs led and provided by the Venture People Team offering a consistent pathway of support for people on their journey through our service. 

Features: Located in the heart of Worthing with excellent access to public transport and local community facilities there is private parking and a large garden area to the front and rear of the property.

 

Lovell House (West Sussex)

Overview: A 24 hour supported accommodation service offering ten both shared and self contained placements for adults (18 years and above) with mental health and additional complex needs.

Support: Each person has an assured shorthold tenancy with enhanced Housing Management provided by Grace Eyre. 

Core 24/7 support (including waking night) with additional 1:1 hours informed by assessment and needs, led and provided by the Venture People Team offering a consistent pathway of support for people on their journey through our service. 

Features: Located in the heart of Littlehampton with excellent access to public transport and local community facilities there is private parking, communal kitchen, laundry facilities and a large garden area.

Lulworth Corner (Brighton and Hove)

Overview:  A High-support accommodation service offering five placements for adults (18 years and above) with complex emotional needs in the form of large self-contained flats within a communal block. The accommodation is also suitable for those with sensory needs. 

Support: Each person holds an assured shorthold tenancy agreement with enhanced Housing Management provided by Star Housing.  

6 hours of 1:1 support per person, per day, are provided to each individual with an additional two hours of responsive support per day available if required.  

Features: Located in the Portslade area of Brighton and Hove in close proximity to local amenities, with good transport links. The accommodation also benefits from communal meeting space within the building.

Greenhill House (Brighton and Hove)

Overview: A 24 hour specialist supported accommodation offering four placements for menonly (18 years and above) with complex needs including individuals with learning disabilities, autism and forensic histories.

Support: Each person holds an assured short hold tenancy with enhanced Housing Management provided by Hummingbird Housing. 

24-hour support is provided (including sleep in staff) daily into the service. This includes 3 hours of 1:1 support, per person, per day in the service.

Features: Located in the central Preston Circus area of Brighton, Greenhill offers safe, structured environment with large private ensuite rooms, shared kitchen and a large communal garden. It is in the heart of the community and benefits from good links to all local amenities.

Cogden House (Brighton and Hove)

Overview: Cogden House offers 4 placements of self contained studio accommodation for individuals with neurodiversity and ASD.

Support: Each person has an assured shorthold tenancy with Hummingbird Housing who provide enhanced housing management. 

24 hours of support is provided each day. Each individual has 2 hours of 1:1 support available and in addition responsive support is also accessible. 

Features: Located in the Portslade area of Brighton and Hove, Cogden House offers Studio-style living with kitchenette, communal kitchen, garden and communal space.

Highcliffe House (Brighton and Hove)

Overview:  Highcliffe House offers six placements of self contained supported studio accommodation for young women who have a learning disability and/or are autistic. The service supports individuals who have experienced trauma and have complex emotional needs. Although the service is for individual’s who are 18 years and above, they can support those who are leaving care and may be transitioning from children’s to adult services.

Support: Each person has an assured shorthold tenancy with enhanced Housing Management provided by Hummingbird Housing. 

24 hours of support is provided each day 7 days a week (including sleeping in staff). Within this, each individual has 3 hours of 1:1 daily support with additional responsive support available daily. 

Features: Located in the Portslade area of Brighton and Hove, Highcliffe House is in close proximity to local amenities, with good transport links. In addition to the individual spacious studio flats is access to a communal kitchen, living room and large communal garden.

Charmouth House (Seaford, East Sussex)

Overview:  A step down supported accommodation service for people with mental health and additional needs, Charmouth operates a mixed model of support with one self contained placement available for an individual with high needs, requiring full 1:1 24 hour support, and further step down accommodation for three individuals within shared accommodation. 

Support: Core support in the shared accommodation is provided between the hours of 07:30 and 22:00 with additional 1:1 hours available informed by individual need and assessment. The self contained accommodation on site provides full 1:1 support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Features: Located in central Seaford with good access to public transport and the local amenities, Charmouth House benefits from private and communal gardens and on site. 

 

The Sidings (Eastbourne, East Sussex)

Overview: Offering 24-hour supported accommodation in highly specified self contained bungalows, The Sidings offers eight placements for young adults with mental health needs and additional needs including ASD.

Support: Each person has an assured shorthold tenancy with enhanced housing management provided by Myshon Housing.

24 hour care and support (including waking night) is provided with each person allocated 3 hours of 1:1 support each day, as well as daily access to responsive support.  

Features: In a central area of Eastbourne within walking distance of the town center and its many amenities, the bungalows also benefit from being on a large private site and spot with both individual and communal garden space.

Astaire (Eastbourne, East Sussex)

Overview: Offering 24 hour supported accommodation on the same site as The Sidings, Astaire offers self contained high-supported placements for three individuals service in highly specified self contained bungalows. The service has been developed to support individuals with complex mental health needs and additional complex needs, who have struggled in conventional settings. 

Support: Each person has an assured shorthold tenancy with enhanced Housing Management provided by Myshon Housing.

24 hours of full 1:1 support (including waking night) is provided to each individual in Astaire. 

Features: In a central area of Eastbourne within walking distance of the town center and its many amenities, the bungalows also benefit from being on a large private site with both individual and communal garden space.
