Our History
History of the Organisation
Our Journey
Venture People was launched in 2015 with a clear purpose: to do something different. We set out to deliver innovative, solution-focused services. From the outset, our aim has been to create bespoke pathways and packages of support for people with mental health needs, learning disabilities, neurodiversity and additional complex needs, including those from harder-to-reach groups and who have struggled in conventional settings.
Starting Small, Thinking Big
Our journey began with community-based services, providing personalised 1:1 support in people’s homes and their local community. This approach allowed us to focus on the individual needs of each person, building trust and delivering the right support at a time and place of the person’s choice.
Responding to Demand
In 2016, in direct response to demand and working collaboratively with our partners, we expanded our services to include supported accommodation. This marked an important evolution, enabling us to meet a broader range of needs and support people in environments that foster recovery and independence.
Our Approach
At Venture People, our approach is rooted in recovery, reablement, and empowerment. We are committed to providing person-centered, strengths-based support that helps individuals achieve meaningful outcomes and build fulfilling, independent lives.
Person-Centered and Strengths-Based
We believe in tailoring our support to meet the unique needs and aspirations of each individual. By focusing on strengths and abilities, and facilitating choice and control, we empower those we support to take charge of their recovery and achieve their personal goals.
Psychologically and Trauma-Informed
Our services are designed with a deep understanding of the impact of trauma and the psychological needs of people we support. We create safe, supportive, capable environments that foster trust, resilience, and build confidence. Our team employs evidence-based practices to ensure that our services are informed by the latest research and best practices in health and social care.
Recovery and Reablement
We focus on enabling recovery through practical, meaningful interventions that promote independence, resilience, and well-being. Our reablement approach helps people with progression of skills and confidence on their life journey, ensuring long-term positive outcomes.
Where we are Today
We are proud to now support over 300 individuals across South east England to achieve positive outcomes on their recovery and reablement journey.
Our Commitment to Excellence
Our services continue to evolve, but our core commitment remains unchanged: supporting individuals in leading meaningful lives and achieving their desired outcomes through the highest standards in mental health support and accommodation. This commitment is upheld by our team of highly experienced, qualified, and motivated professionals who share our ambition to deliver exceptional services to those we support and the wider community.
Through creativity, collaboration, and dedication, Venture People has grown into a trusted specialist provider.
