If you have an interest in working in the mental health sector and making a positive difference, we have a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Mental Health Support Worker.
Car owners/drivers are essential.
Based in our specialist discharge service, you will be working with our multi-disciplinary team to support individuals in their first six weeks post-discharge – you will also be working alongside vulnerable clients to avoid hospital re-admission where possible.
This Mental Health Support Worker role is incredibly fast paced so you must be flexible and adaptable, able to think on your feet and react well to change.
The Mental Health Support Worker role will be a full-time 40-hour per week contract:
Key Skills
- Working with Clients to agreed goals and timeframes
- Resilience – able to persevere when faced with challenging or difficult situations/people.
- Able to adapt to changing rotas as clients are taken on and discharged within 6 weeks
- Able to work on practical tasks such as cooking or attending appointments with clients
- Giving support to clients developing independence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to change
Desired Skills:
- It would be desirable for you to have experience in supporting a person(s) with a mental health condition and within a community-based service
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.60 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
